By the time students complete this seminar in research ethics, they should be able to:
- Describe the main aspects of unethical research practices on homeless, alcoholic men in New York in the mid-20th century.
- Explain how cultural, political, and economic contexts can shape approaches to medical research on vulnerable populations.
- Question common stereotypes about medical research subjects and medical researchers.
It will take place at 12:00–2:00pm on Tuesday February 4, 2014, in Room 303-305 Welch Library.
